Bummer - Feb 8th, 2005

Even in pretend Vegas I'm still not tall enough to be a show girl. Instead, I'm a dancer that wears floor lenth fringe. And if we dance how we did last night, we are going to be slapping eachother in the faces with this fringe. Plus, I'll be wearing character shoes. I have never worn character shows, let alone dance and dance fast jazz moves. I hope I get to practice in them at least 3 times before I go on stage. And if Scott puts in that move he was doing before rehearsal, I can promise you that I will not be able to do it. And its that move that I keep have reoccuring dreams about. Why do they always choreograph pirouettes on the left leg? Is that the standard leg or something?! I have tried, and for the life of me I can't do a pirouette on my left leg. Now on my right, I can go to town.

Pinball Wizard should be a lot of fun. I was holding my own next to these dance majors...seeing how I was never professionally trained. Its going to be a hard, confusing and very very fast number. I have to learn to use balance and focus again.

Power of a Dream is boring. For the first half of the song, all the dancers are standing and signing. Haven't learned the dance break yet but hopefully it will pick up.

Pick Yourself Up will be funny. I'll be dressed as an old lady and we'll be dancing with walkers. First rehearsal I already had blisters on my palms. I'll have to tape my hands next time.

I'm very excited but also very scared and kinda disappointed..if that makes sense. If I'm still here next year I'll audition as a singer and a dancer so hopefully I'll be in more numbers as well as the funner numbers!

Plus, I have to get in shape. I'm very competitive, especially when it comes to dancing. I have to be the most flexible and dance the best. And this year, I'm none of the above. I dance ok, but I know I could do better if my body would allow it.

well, off to lunch. i want to go home. I miss my boyfriend.
