Eleven Years Ago Today.... - June 7th, 2005

I buried my childhood pet Mickey. Love ya Mickey and I still miss you. Also, 6 years ago today was the night with Carl. So weird to think about it. Doesn't seem real to me anymore...only a dream.

My weekend was very nice and relaxing...for once. Jeremiah and I went to the zoo on Saturday and we saw a baby elephant poofing sawdust all over its mum, a baby monkey playing around, billie goats and baby billie goats, and manatees eating right in front of us among other things. We also took the little boat right around one of the monkey exhibits. Can't remember which section we were in. But it was a nice day with my boyfriend. I'm glad he had the day off.

And Sunday Lori and I spent all afternoon at Wyandot Lake. It finally felt like summer. We almost drowned laughing so hard in the deep end. We got blinded by white people and bright sun. We got told we looked like celebrities. Lori had a towel around her head with her hollywood style glasses on and I had on my big red hat with glasses and a flower wrap around my waist. It was funny. I finally got a little sun. Poor Lori got burnt wearing 50spf. I was only wearing 8 and I didn't get burned at all. Weird.

But last night wasn't too good. My neck really started hurting. It mad me cry. Jeremiah came over on his way home from work and just sat and talked with me on the front porch in the dark. Even though he only stayed about 25 minutes, it was really nice just sitting outside telling stories of our day. It made me forget about my neck.

I want more nights like that.
