Doing the Happy Dance - June 21st, 2005

Our vacation is finally falling into place. We have a place to stay right smack dab in the middle of the keys...and for cheap! John's (roomie's love machine) family has a place in Marathon and they confirmed last night that we can stay there for only $50 a day! So that translates into $25 a piece a day. That rocks!! Granted its a trailer, but it has a swimming pool, which I doubt I'll be using, and air conditioning. Plus the money we saved by staying there, we get to spend on other things. We'll only be sleeping and occasionally eating there anyways. Most of our time will be spent on the beach or traveling around the keys checking out different sights.

One day we are planning on going to Dry Tortugas, which is 70 miles southwest of Key West. You can only get there by seaplane or ferry. But its a tiny island where you can scuba and snorkel.

I'm excited about Miami too. We're going to stay a night there and go out..maybe even check out a nude beach. I want to go to a romantic dinner then go dancing. So I need to hit up my Sara to see if she can contact that girl who knows which clubs are the good ones to go to.

I'm excited about seeing a lighthouse too. I've never been to one and we might stop by one on our way down to Marathon and climp up inside one. I have to make sure I have plenty of film and a bigger battery for my camera.

After our week in the keys, we might drive to Naples and stay a night there and see the sunset on their pier. I hear its fantastic! Then we'll drive through the Everglades and take an airboat ride before returning to Ft. Lauderdale. Which reminds, I need to ask good ol' Nick if we can crash at his place one more night on the way back.

I'll need to get plenty of sunscreen, pack my hats, but save room for presents to bring back. I have to get 5 more new outfits..well I don't have to but I need to anyways cause my clothes suck.

And what makes today also very nice...last night Jeremiah stayed over! It wasn't the best night together, cause he's getting sick and gizmo was keeping me awake, and my neck felt like it was going to cramp at any moment. We haven't slept together in months and I'm definately not used to another body in my bed. If we ever get a bed together...at least a queen if not king! But also today, we going to a screening of "Land of the Dead." I'm excited cause I'm going with Santos and Daveman and it'll be nice socializing with cool people on a personal level instead of just at work. Plus, I want them to meet my man.

And tomorrow I'll hopefully earn an extra $25 bucks donating plasma, and this weekend I'll earn at least $20 for helping out clown man. But I'm spending most of Saturday and Sunday at Wyandot Lake!

But I have to get through 3.5 more days of work.
